Are We Better Off
There was a time in America where we championed the good guy, education, hard work and concern for our fellow-man. Thanks to the progressive movement that seized control of our media and education, the tolerant message they preach makes an exception for those virtues. As part of the socialization of America, it has been one of their priorities to denigrate all that is good and to worship the lowest elements of our society ie. glorifying thuggery, trying to make the crass & crude main stream, diminishing the virtues of education and glorifying the lowest elements of society (thus the attempt to make tattooing and piercing main stream). With all of this so Called progression, is our society a better, safer and more civil place than it was 30 or 40 years ago? Will you leave your keys in your car today or sleep with your windows open tonight?
The Hunt Continues
When I embarked on my quest to find a job back at the first of the year, I knew the job market was tight and it might be tough to find an “A - list” job, but never expected to have difficulty a job. I have never been a supporter of unemployment insurance or welfare, as I always preached that when you need a job, you take what ever job you can find and create an opportunity from there. You see:
- Good employees are hard to find
- True leaders are even harder to find
- You do the very best you can do and your employer or someone else will recognize it.
- Do more than is required and do everything you do with excellence – the pay and advancement will follow.
- Any job contains a seed of opportunity
- Most opportunities are created, not given or stumbled upon,
- You are the determining factor in whether a job is a good one or bad one,
- Your future depend on you alone.
We put everything we had in to helping our company survive the tough economic times and when we recognized that we were going to have to do something else, I set out with all diligence to get a job. We are not independently weathly, so being unemployed was not an option. Now after an exhaustive search with over 1,000 resumes out, I am running out of options.
Hope against Hope
Does art imitate life or does life imitate art? It is a question for the ages. I do know that over my lifetime, I have faced many setbacks. What is it within me that keeps looking forward, that keeps hoping, that keeps believing with one more effort I can reach that next goal? There is a drive within a man that propels him to new heights while the tides off success are with him and keeps his wheels spinning when mired in the valley of defeat. All that is within me wants to pull it into neutral and stop the fight against the tide. But there is within me some force that presses on to hope against hope that with the next turn of the wheel I will be free of the swamp of defeat and back on the road to success. It would be easy to quit and make excuses.
I believe that it is in midst of trials, when you are in the tempest of the storm that a man’s character is developed. You really learn what you are made of. I believe that every man has a capacity to endure and achieve that is beyond anything they could conceive. Hope is the seed of that capacity and hope was planted by our creator into our hearts. It is the God nature within us that we have to tap into to succeed in this life. It is hope that keeps your eyes open in the midst of the struggle. With your eyes open, you are able to see the doors of opportunity that are strategically placed along your journey. No one can open those doors for you, but you.

If you were my friend and were dropped, I didn’t do it so please send me another request, aAnd as always, Please feel free to share my page with all of your family and friends. This is an important way you can be a part of what I do and is always appreciated.
My artwork will be on display locally at Kimacy Frame Shop on Maple Street in Carrollton starting Saturday November 21st which is their Christmas Open House. I will have an announcement coming out regarding that soon. In addition, I will be in Chattanooga at the Chattanooga Choo Choo in early December, details to follow. Powers coming soon
Inventory for the Power’s Ferry Arts Festival arrived today. This will be the 1st three day show that I have done and will be the first of a fairly busy fall with shows every other weekend in to November. I am looking forward to the shows, however my painting time has taken a big hit with this schedule. I am hopeful that I can go full time with my art soon. I have a lot of projects lined up, but time is the missing commodity.
While Americans Were Asleep
I’m not one to subscribe to conspiracy theory, however; is it a coincidence that on the eve of the vote on the most intrusive tax increase in American history that Michael Jackson dies. While the media was focused almost exclusively on this event with 24 hour coverage, our Leftist President and his loyal following of ideologues in the House of Representatives forced through their most outrageous “change” to date. This legislation will extend government control into every area of you life. This hidden tax will drastically increase the cost of almost everything you buy from electricity and automobiles to your food. This will be used for the government to determine who can produce, what is produced and who can use it.
The amazing part is the sheeple, who are fixated on the Micheal Jackson news, blindly listen to the propaganda that this is about Global Warming and saving the environment. Nothing is further than the true. This is about money and power. If you would turn off the latest reality show or American idol episode and actually get involved in your community you would see this type of program in process and see the fallaciousness of it. one such example is a process now in place, with the idea of protecting our environment, wetlands and trees. In many areas, if you want to develop your own property, you can not disturb wetlands or trees with out permission. The legislation does not protect the wetland or trees, it just allows you to buy permission to disturb it . . . for a fee. You pay a fee for a wetland exchange, or tree density unit. In the end, it’s just a hidden way to impose more tax, power and political favors.
This Cap and Tax policy is one more tool to pass massive taxes on everything that is made in this country. It is another way of taxation on top of the current sales tax, income tax, property tax, excise tax, death tax, and many others. It is just on more step toward the “Change the President” offered and the sheeple blindly clamored for. It is the change from a free republic based upon individual rights granted by our creator to a fascist / socialist government that will ultimately end with a communist America headed by a Marxist disciple.
Wake up America!! While you still can, speak out against these devastating changes to our Country. This was the greatest nation on the earth and we are sleeping while it is being changed into something our forefathers never would have dreamed of. Changed into something that has failed around the globe over the past 50 years by those who have tried it.
Fascist / Socialist / Communist – you decide.
Fascism – a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
Socialism – any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
Communism – a: a theory advocating elimination of private property b: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed c: a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics d: a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production e: a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably.
In this nation, power belongs to the people. We need sweeping changes in our government, but that needed change is a shift in power from Washington back to the local and state levels. We have got to return to our constitution. The federal government should perform only the most necessary functions for our survival as a nation, such as national defence, facilitating interstate commerce and international relations. The federal government has no place in education, health care, welfare, law enforcement (with the exception of true interstate crimes) environment issues. All power in governing should rest as close to the people as possible, so the people can be involved in their government, know what is going on and hold accountable those who represent them.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE ! ! !
Mr President & Congress
It’s real simple . . . do not spend more money than you bring in. A child can figure that one out. You have bankrupted our Country and have compromised our national security.
